Gare de Lyon is where most journeys south begin — the TGV to Lyon, Marseille, Nice, Geneva and Milan all leave from here. Arriving at Orly with a booked TGV means either the Orlyval and RER B via Denfert, or the tram and métro line 14, both with changes and both roughly an hour.
The drive is 20 km up the A6 and takes half an hour outside peak hours. For a connection where a missed train means buying a new ticket, that difference is worth more than the fare gap.

How much margin should I leave for a TGV connection?
Two and a half hours from landing. SNCF closes boarding two minutes before departure and platform numbers only appear about 20 minutes ahead, so arriving early matters more at Gare de Lyon than at an airport.
Which Orly terminal do you collect from?
All of them — Orly 1, 2, 3 and 4 sit in one connected building and we meet you in the arrivals hall of whichever door your flight uses.
Can you drop at Gare de Bercy or Austerlitz instead?
Yes, both are close by and covered at the same rate. Tell us which station when you book.
Is the price affected by traffic?
No. The quoted fare is fixed at booking and does not change with congestion, waiting time or route.
